I'm betraying my age here a bit, but I have been "blogging" since the late '90s. It has always been an online medium that's just felt right in my world. Like all of us, life has given me its share of left turns and straight paths, and in the midst of those journeys, the internet has changed a million times over, blogging has "come and gone" in popularity, and I have been swept into the currents of "i'm so god-damn-busy" that I have forgotten how essential it is to have a writing habit in my life.

So here I am, clawing myself up from the earth of "elder millennial", trying to reestablish my writing habit again. This front-facing form is part of a longer process that has been happening behind the scenes for over a year now.

The goal with the words here is simple: to write in the tension between a super-raw first draft and a super-polished final version. I believe in archiving and showing the progression of a thought, or perhaps in my case, being able to look back at elements/articles/books/musings from my studies in psychology that inspired me enough to make a post and see where those thoughts and inspirations have taken me.

I also love how life weaves in and out between hefty head-in-the-clouds topics and on-the-ground rats-nest musings. So you will find me also writing about cinematography, photography, and films that inspire, or music, or art, or technology....it'll all be here =)
